Paltem method

Overview

Paltem SZ method lays SZ liners in sewer conduits through manholes, expands them by pumping air in, and harden them by heating, to form self-supporting pipes in the existing conduits. The SZ pipes formed in the conduits have excellent durability and chemical resistance, being applicable to existing conduits of 200 mm to 800 mm diameters.
Paltem Flooring method reclaims new conduits of medium to large diameters inside existing conduits by fabricating steel rings inside the existing conduits, attaching engaging part members and surface part members both made of high density polyethylene to the steel rings, and having mortar with high liquidity and high strength injected between the existing conduits and the surface part members of the new conduits. Applicable diameter of existing conduits is 800 mm to 3000 mm. Paltem Flooring method is applicable not only to round conduits, but also those with the cross sectional geometries of horseshoe, rectangular, or gate shapes. (Maximum diameter built: 5500 mm)

Features

  1. While the cross sectional area of a new pipe slightly reduces since it is installed inside an existing conduit, the flow rate does not drop because the roughness coefficient is improved.

  2. The construction work does not require the open-cut, being free from interference with existing buried facilities.

  3. The working occupancy area is small.
